Gaia extends its expert services to China. We participate currently in projects aiming to develop more energy efficient and economically feasible solutions on renewable energy. The main goal of the on-going efforts is to achieve notable carbon emission reductions and develop multi-benefit renewable energy solutions especially for rural areas.
Rural Energy Industry in China has developed quickly during the past few years and it covers a broad range of renewable energy solutions for remote areas and off-grid systems. Main alternatives for energy solutions include wind and solar energy, small scale CHP & hydro power as well as biogas solutions. Co-operation with our Chinese partners offers us an opportunity to develop more efficient solutions for producing heat and electricity especially from biogas and solar energy. Our first projects are to take place in Hunan and Sichuan provinces.
Gaia has opened an office in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province. The office is located in the new EU Incubator centre, which provides Gaia with great facilities and opportunities for partnerships.
