Evaluation of the sustainability dimension in addressing poverty reduction
Gaia assesses how the sustainable economic, ecological and social development approach has enabled progress towards the overall poverty reduction goal of the development policy of Finland. (Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, 2010)
The purpose of the evaluation is to identify specific achievements of the Finnish development co-operation. It gathers lessons of experience, identifies innovative solutions for problems in planning and implementation of development co-operation, and identifies factors that help or hinder Finnish development interventions.
