Evaluation of the Finnish European Regional Development Fund
Gaia is responsible for the continuous monitoring and evaluation of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) programme in Finland, covering the thematic areas of regional innovation activities and sustainable development. (Ministry of Employment and the Economy of Finland, 2009–2011)
The ERDF helps stimulate economic development and regeneration in the least prosperous regions of the European Union. It aims to strengthen economic and social cohesion in the EU by correcting imbalances between its regions.
