“Since I was a child, I have cherished the idea of saving the world in one-way or another: I have either been trying to save the whales or nature or to improve the lives of the poorest people. As a consequence of my endless interests I have ended up studying both social sciences and environmental management, hoping to be able to impact on things that are important to me. In Gaia I am especially fond of the ethical and ecological way of working as well as the flexibility and agility of a smaller company.
I joined Gaia in 2006 after a long period abroad. I had been studying environmental management in Amsterdam and worked amongst other things in the sustainability unit of a multi-national company, where I was responsible for the health and safety. I also participated in “Bottom of Pyramid” projects where the intention was to develop sustainable and user-oriented innovations for developing countries.
At Gaia I mainly work on projects dealing with societal issues. These projects often include foresight and scenario work. Cooperating with authorities and companies is highly interesting and challenging to me and I enjoy finding the best solutions that satisfy all parties. I also work with projects dealing with chemical and environmental risks of industry and transport as well as with questions of sustainable development.
The best things about Gaia are enthusiastic colleagues and good working spirit. We can be proud of the quality we deliver.”
