“While working with the United Nations Development Programme in Maldives in 2007, I had the pleasure of implementing a post-Tsunami soil pollution cleanup and capacity building project together with Pasi Rinne, Chairman of Gaia. This opportunity got me close to Gaia and, after completing a post-graduate degree in Australia, I started working at Gaia in 2009.

In the past 10 years I have been living in five different countries, both developed and developing, and studying and working on technical aspects related to the environment – particularly sustainable energy and waste management. After working for international organisations, I had the opportunity to move to the private sector in the hands of Gaia where I work as a sustainable energy and carbon management expert providing technical support to climate change and energy efficiency projects, as well as business development in Latin America and internationally.

My commitment to building a more sustainable world goes beyond my professional activity. It is a way of living, adopting some Vedic practices into my daily life, I dedicate part of my free time to share these sorts of practices and knowledge as an Art of Living Foundation volunteer. I very much enjoy hiking in nature, sailing and travelling around the world.

Working with a motivated team like Gaia is definitely something that keeps me going. Furthermore, the challenging nature of assignments at Gaia makes my daily work a dynamic experience.”
